A notice issued by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has decided to put the decision to ban solo trekking in Nepal on hold until further notice.

The notice issued to concerned stakeholders on August 17 states that it is still holding discussions with stakeholders towards making Nepal a safe destination for tourists and ensuring security of trekkers.

“We will reach to a conclusion on the issue very soon,” the notice states.
